I offer one-to-one throwing workshops in my garden studio, just south of Salisbury. These sessions make thoughtful gifts and can also be purchased using a gift voucher.

1. Introduction to Pottery

If you’ve always wanted to try throwing but haven’t had the opportunity, this three-hour session is a good place to start. I’ll guide you through the basics of centring clay on the wheel, and you’ll have time to throw several pieces. You’ll choose two to be glazed and fired, ready for collection at a later date.

2. Improver Session

If you’ve had some experience with throwing but feel you’re not progressing, this one-to-one session can help. We’ll look at where you’re getting stuck, and I’ll offer guidance and small adjustments that can make a big difference.

What to Bring:

· Closed-toe shoes

· An apron

· A notebook (optional)

· A water bottle

· Long hair should be tied back, and jewellery will need to be removed

· Short nails are helpful for throwing, so a trim before your session is advised

· Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy — clay has a way of travelling!
